Corn at Wednesday Market
08/27/2008
Joanne Jewell
Remember that the Wednesday Farmers Market is open today from 2-6pm in the Village Green. Get the pot boiling because some of the first CORN of the season will be at the market today, sweet and ready to be eaten.
There is also starting to be a good supply of tomatoes and all the rest of the late summer fruits and vegetables: sweet and hot peppers, kohlrabi, carrots, beans, summer squashes, cucumbers, plums, raspberries, blackberries, garlic, onions, lettuce, salad mix, eggplant, potatoes and much more that you need for making a delicious dinner tonight. There will also be cottage bouquets of fresh flowers for your table or office. All farm goods at the Wednesday Farmers Market are grown on Vashon Island.
