Farming in Community: Pacific Crest

  • Pacific Crest Farm 23720 Dockton Road Southwest Vashon, WA, 98070 United States (map)

Pacific Crest Farm is a 21-acre farm located on Maury Island. The farm is owned by Pacific Crest Montessori School, which is located in Seattle. PCS students play an active role in the farm, coming out for weekly day trips, spring and fall overnights and summer camps. In addition, they host numerous events throughout the year for families of PCS students.

They grow mixed vegetables, berries and flowers on less than 2 acres using regenerative farm practices. They maintain legacy orchards planted by Pete Svinth, which include apples, pears, cherries, plums, figs, walnuts, hazels and chestnuts.  They raise chickens, sheep and occasionally turkeys or pigs.  They use no-till methods, hand-scale cultivation, crop rotations and other sustainable land management techniques.  They sell their produce on island through our roadside farm stand and to local restaurants, The Ruby Brink and Ramble Restuarant.

The farm is located at 23720 Dockton Rd SW.  You will arrive at the farmstand.  Please pull in through the gate (making sure to keep gate closed) and park along the driveway inside the gate.  You will walk the rest of the way.  Turn right at the Y in the driveway and follow the driveway path until you arrive at our packhouse.
