Farmer Robin grew up on the farm and helped her parents sell garlic, flowers, and more at Pike Place Market as well as University District Market for many years. In 2017 David and Robin moved to Vashon with their kids to take over the family farm and reestablish the garlic stock. The garlic is an heirloom variety, Croatian Purple, originally brought to Dockton by their neighbor who brought it with her when she immigrated from Croatia in the early 1900's. Every year they save the same seed stock to continue the legacy. Their farm is certified organic and is converting to no-till. Each year they add new crops to diversify the farm. Their goal is to educate the public on organic practices and increase awareness of small farms and their necessity in our culture.
The farm is located at 9603 SW 264th St, one block East of the Dockton Fire Station. The farm entrance is just West of the address straight across from the stop sign. Parking is best on the street and then walk up the gravel driveway through two metal gates, towards an rv parked in the grass.
