VIGA Farm Friend

About the Project

Farm Friend is operated by the Vashon Island Growers Association (VIGA) to keep the VIGA farm-stand map fresh and useful. Farm Friend lets participating Vashon farmers update their farm stand listings by SMS, helps community members ask about local farm-stand availability, and lets customers report a likely stock-out so the farmer can review it.

Farm Friend sends customer care messages in response to community inquiries and account notifications to participating farmers about their farm-stand listings. These may include inventory update confirmations, prompts to confirm or revise a listing, stock-out alerts, and related help or opt-out messages.

Community members opt in by texting JOIN to 206-864-5326 (206-86-GLEAN). Participating farmers opt in during onboarding by texting VIGA to the same number.

By texting JOIN or VIGA, you agree to receive SMS messages from Farm Friend about VIGA farm-stand listings, farm-stand inventory updates, produce availability inquiries, and stock-out reports on Vashon Island. Message frequency varies based on farm activity and your use of the service, usually 0-6 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase or participation. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
